For thousands of years, Daoist inner alchemy, Hermetic science, Sufi metaphysics, Theosophy, and the Five Arts of Shan, Yi, Ming, Xiang, and Bu have pointed toward a shared possibility: reality is not exhausted by its first appearance, and a human being is not exhausted by habit.
Modern science approaches related questions from another direction. Neuroscience maps perception. Consciousness studies and frontier physics challenge simple accounts of matter. Information theory reveals order beneath apparent chaos.
We do not choose between ancient wisdom and modern science. We put them in the same lab. We name the method, test the boundary, and remain honest about uncertainty.
What we seek is active negentropy: turning noise into signal, attention into order, and entropy into self-mastery.
